Project Overview
In this project, I led the design and implementation of a vectoring hobby rocket motor mount for active control. The primary focus was to leverage techniques to achieve maximum actuation range and precise control over pitch and yaw axes during flight. The project is ongoing as I work to further test and build the final rocket.
Key Contributions
Engineering Processes
• Used 3D printing and CNC milling for component fabrication, ensuring precision and durability.
• Simulated the flight computer's performance using MATLAB and Simulink, validating its functionality and reliability.
• Led a multidisciplinary team encompassing mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
• Directed efforts in TVC mount design, recovery system design, computer housing design, and airframe optimization.
• Collaborated closely with electrical engineers on component selection, computer design, and pyro activation systems.
